As to versions for Piaggio engines, rail and roll dimensions were increased and a new roll guide cover was fitted.

• Application range: 28 to 88 mm in average Ø (useful size on chain sliding surface: 20 to 99.5 mm in Ø)
• Mobile split pulley made of high silicon grade special alloy, surface treated with hardened chemical nickel
•  Sintered bronze self-lubricating bushing
• Steel-alloy hub with hard cadmium insert on the sliding surface, both ground and lapped
•  Steel roll guide cover, heat treated and surface burnished
• Gauged high resistant HTROLL rolls made of special CPT, basic weight marked on one side
• Driven split pulley contrast spring made of pre-hardened steel-chrome-silicon, painted in different colours according to the relative K value

The Minarelli version includes a fixed vented split pulley made of a high silicon steel alloy and provided with hardened chemical nickel insert.

Faq

• I bought the variator for the Honda SH 300 and would like to replace the 14 gr rollers with 19 gr rollers like the originals. Are there any problems?

  Our variator has different geometries from the original and therefore uses different roller weights than the original. The variator can be customised to your liking, but we advise against using weights too different from those recommended by us.

• I need to replace the rollers in my Malossi variator. I would like to know what roller weight I can fit to get more snap compared to the configuration you have assembled.

  The variators are supplied with the optimum calibration for us. It is possible to customise them to your liking according to the preparation of the vehicle, drawing on the very wide range of rollers available.

• Should I also fit the spring supplied in the Malossi variator or can I leave the original spring?

  If supplied, we recommend fitting the spring in the multivar.

• How often should I change the rollers and sliders of the Malossi variator?

  Our variators do not require any different maintenance than the original variator, so please follow the instructions in the vehicle's 'Use and Maintenance' booklet.
